Tom Heasley

I've been listening and expanding my varieties of music recently and stumbled upon Hearts of Space radio. While it is a "Space Music" station hosted by Stephen Hill it really attracted me with one song called "Joshua Tree" by Tom Heasley from his album Desert Triptych. In this album Tom leaves his famous ambient tuba arrangements from the past albums behind and brings a didgeridoo in the mix. It's definitely unique and I think the title of the album describes it well as an ambient desert field.

Porcupine Tree ~ The Incident
From the british progressive rockers, this has been playing in my truck for quite a while now and I would suggest giving it a try if you like pink floyd, and ambient stuff. One of the best albums I've owned without a doubt. Steven Wilson is of course genius like always blending his acoustic guitar perfectly with the band while mantaining a heavy sound, which is unheard of in music now days. I get a different feeling from this than 'In Absentia', which was the first album I dove into, and its good different. It has a more ambient feeling that reminded me of Tom Heasley. Heres a link to my favorite song (The Blind House).
